Dutchman has only been in the north west since 2012.
Unsettled Manchester United forward Robin van Persie is said to be eyeing up a possible return to former club next season after growing disillusioned with life at Old Trafford, according to reports in the Daily Mirror.
The Netherlands international only joined the Premier League champions from the north London club in the summer of 2012 in a controversial deal worth £24m.
However, despite enjoying an eye-catching debut campaign at the Theatre of Dreams under previous Red Devils head coach Sir Alex Ferguson, with Van Persie’s goals going a long way towards firing United to reclaim the Premier League title, the Dutchman’s second season at the club has not been quite so happy.
And with rumours now life that Van Persie has fallen out with new United boss David Moyes, speculation is beginning to mount regarding the 30-year-old’s future in the north west next season.
So much so that it is now believed that the attacker has his heart set on a shock move back to the Emirates this summer.
