Drogba could be set to leave the Turk Telekom arena at the end of the season and the club are eager to bring a big name player in to take over from where the Ivorian left off.

And according to sources in Turkey RVP is the name on everybody’s lips and a move to bring the Dutch international striker is being taken very seriously.

The 30-year-old has been the subject of some intense speculation over the past few months after United’s dismal campaign looks set to leave him without any Champions League football next term.

Galatasaray would have no such problems, and should he chose to join he would be able to link up with friend and international teammate Wesley Sneijder.

Club coach Roberto Mancini is already well aware of what Van Persie can do after witnessing it first hand during his own spell in England, but it remains to be seen as to whether Van Persie would consider above to Turkey even though he is currently unhappy at Old Trafford.
