Chelsea are readying extensive moves in the summer transfer window as Jose Mourinho seeks to snap up three of the hottest young talents in European football.

CaughtOffside understands that Stamford Bridge owner Roman Abramovich is ready to bankroll Mourinho as he looks to plan for the future.

The main target to this end is Juventus midfield maestro Paul Pogba with the West London side ready to tempt the Serie A side to sell the French international with a £55m bid for the 20 year old, who has already become a pivotal member of Antonio Conte’s first team set-up.

The rangy midfielder is adept at pushing forwards but is also a strong presence in the centre of the park, able to repel opposition advances whilst retaining the tenacity to make an impact in the final third.

Chelsea are set to offer the former Man United a massive pay-rise with a contract offer in the region of £180k a week awaiting the stunningly talented midfielder.

Indeed Pogba may well be seen as a long term replacement for veteran Frank Lampard and a player Mourinho is ready to build his side around.

Pogba has already amassed 71 appearances for Juventus, scoring 13 goals and providing five assists.

Jose Mourinho has put aside £20m as he looks to replace another veteran, left-back Ashley Cole, and will make an early summer bid for Southampton teenager Luke Shaw.

The Blues boss has scouted 18 year old Saints star Shaw on a number of occasions this term and has been sufficiently impressed to be ready to make a big money offer for the England Under 21 international.

Mourinho wants to get the signing ‘in the bag’ before the 2014 World Cup, aware that the younster’s reputation could well increase if he makes it into Roy Hodgson’s squad.

Southampton may struggle to turn down such an offer, especially if Shaw indicates his desire to join Chelsea.

Jose Mourinho will look to freshen up his back-line with a £35m bid for FC Porto centre-back Eliaqium Mangala.

The French international is arguably one of most solid defensive performers in world football and a player who is high up on the wish-list of most of Europe’s ‘Elite’.

FC Porto have become adept at cashing in on talented youngster and Jose Mourinho’s previous connections with the Primeira Liga side could help in his pursuit of the 22 year old French international..

Mourinho has already planned ahead in his squad re-building efforts, landing Saint-Etienne teenager Kurt Zouma in January, but with John Terry clearly in the latter stages of his Chelsea career and with David Luiz seemingly surplus to requirements there is certainly scope for a fresh young defender with a great deal of potential, hence the Portuguese manager’s very real interest in Mangala.
