The European champions drew 1-1 with the north London club in the second leg of their round-of-16 clash at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday night to make it safely through to the last eight of Europe’s premier club competition 3-1 on aggregate.
And judging by the extremely relaxed and confident atmosphere at the Bavarian giants’ training base on Thursday, the Germans appear to be in good spirits as they attempt to make history by becoming the first team ever in the modern history of the Champions League to retain the trophy.
But Pep Guardiola’s men also know that there are sure to be some more stern tests awaiting them in the competition.
