AC Milan have set their sights on Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor according to Italian source TuttoMercato.
The Togo international has been the one striking weapon in the White Hart Lane armoury who has delivered this season and is a player boss Tim Sherwood would not want to see leave this summer.
With the likes of Roberto Soldado and Erik Lamela failing to get into gear the North London club have been thankful for the efforts of 30 year old Adebayor, who has scored 11 goals in 18 appearances in all competitions.
AC Milan are having a woeful campaign with Clarence Seedorf’s side sitting in tenth spot in Serie A, some 20 points off a Champions League qualification berth.
The San Siro side may well struggle to make significant moves in the transfer market in the summer given the shortfall the club will suffer from not competing at football’s top table and as such one wonders just how much the Italian giants could offer Tottenham.
