Bendtner reportedly abused a taxi driver and exposed himself after a drunken night in the Danish capital on Tuesday. The 26-year-old was unable to feature against the Germans in the last-16 second leg through injury.

The North London club are thought to be taking the incident very seriously and Bendtner, who has previously be arrested for drink driving in his homeland, will be required to give his version of events to manager Arsene Wenger.

The club could still take disciplinary action against the forward, who has made just one league start this season after returning from a disastrous loan spell at Juventus last summer.

Earlier this month the Denmark international, who is unhappy with the lack of first-team opportunities afforded him at the Emirates Stadium and is expected to depart this summer, suggested that a widely-held perception of him as a “psychopath” has helped to put off interested clubs from signing him.
