Man United have set their sights on AS Roma youngster Dodo as a replacement for French veteran Patrice Evra according to Football Direct News.

The 22 year old Brazilian has impressed when called upon by Stadio Olimpico boss Rudi Garcia this term though is by no means a regular but is seen by David Moyes as a viable summer target.

32 year old French international Evra is out of contract in the summer and could well be set to leave Man United, leaving something of a void at left-back.

Moyes seems unwilling to offer Alexander Buttner the chance to fill that void and has been linked with a myriad of possible signings, the most commonly linked player being Everton’s Leighton Baines.

Man United are also said to be interested in Southampton teen Luke Shaw, who would cost a massive fee, and AS Monaco’s Layvin Kurzawa.

Whichever target Moyes approaches he will be aware that without the carrot of Champions League football to offer it may prove tricky to convince potential additions to move to Old Trafford.
