Anfield side look to land Uruguayan international.
Liverpool will look to sign Atletico Madrid winger Cristian Rodriguez this summer as Brendan Rodgers seeks to lure the Uruguayan to Anfield to boost his attacking options according to Football Direct News.
The 28 year old attacker has struggled to force his way into Diego Simeone’s starting eleven this season having moved to the Vicente Calderon from FC Porto in the summer of 2012.
Thus far this season Rodriguez’s 16 La Liga appearances have all been from the bench, however there is no denying his abilities with the talented wide-man having 70 national team caps to his name.
Rodriguez is said to be good friends with Liverpool star Luis Suarez and could offer Rodgers a further option on the flanks.
Rodgers may well be willing to offload Iago Aspas and Fabio Borini to make way for a new addition in the final third and Chelsea’s Victor Moses is unlikely to make his temporary move to Liverpool a permanent one.
