Anfield side chase CSKA Moscow star.
Liverpool are considering a summer bid for highly rated Russian international Alan Dzagoev according to Football Direct News.
Anfield boss Brendan Rodgers is making tentative summer transfer plans with one eye on a Champions League run and will now challenge Juventus in the race to sign talented 23 year old CSKA Moscow star Dzagoev.
Rodgers may well be looking to bring in further options in the final third and there is no denying Dzagoev’s obvious ability though he wouldn’t come cheap.
Having won multiple honours with CSKA the Beslan born attacker may well be ready for a fresh challenge and one wonders how much the Russian Premier League side would demand for the prized asset.
Dzagoev may well be seen as a long term replacement for veteran skipper Steven Gerrard, a player who is very able and making a big impact in the final third.
The Belsan born attacker has netted 33 goals in 137 domestic league matches for CSKA Moscow.
Whilst the Liverpool board are likely to hand Rodgers a big transfer warchest the Northern Irishman may also look to supplement transfer funds with the sale of under-performing or unneeded squad players such as Fabio Borini, Oussama Assaidi and Iago Aspas.
