Arsenal will look to supplement their attack with a cut-price move for Juventus forward Fabio Quafliarella according to the Metro.

The experienced Italian international is set to leave Turin having fallen down Antonio Conte’s pecking order and Arsene Wenger will look to pick up the former Napoli man for just £2m.

Southampton are also interested in the adaptable forward, who can play out wide as well as in an orthodox striking role, but Arsenal will feel they have the upper hand in the chase for the Juventus bit-part player.

Quagliarella is currently behind Carlos Tevez, Fernando Llorente, Osvaldo and Mirko Vucinic in Conte’s plans and would surely be tempted by a move to the Premier League.

Arsene Wenger has been overly reliant on Olivier Giroud this term who has at times looked exhausted this season.

Lukas Podolski and Theo Walcott have both suffered with injuries that have greatly restricted their involvement and Nicklas Bendtner is likely to be offloaded due to his off field antics whilst youngster Yaya Sanogo is perhaps too raw for regular first team football.

Quagliarella has scored 30 goals in 99 appearances for Juventus and has 25 Italian national team caps to his name.
