How the Gunners are likely to start against their bitter rivals…
Arsenal will need to pick up a win today to keep pace with Chelsea at the top of the Premier League table.
Watch the top 10 best Arsenal games of all time.
GK – Wojciech Szczesny
Despite the fact understudy Lukas Fabianksi played exceptionally against Bayern Munich midweek, we’re pretty sure Arsene Wenger will recall his regular Szczesny for the North London derby.
RB – Bacary Sagna
The easiest selection when predicting an Arsenal lineup, Sagna always starts on the right of a back four when he’s fit and healthy.
CB – Per Mertesacker
Like most of Arsenal’s defenders, Mertesacker was brilliant midweek in the Champions League. He will hope for an easier afternoon at White Hart Lane, although Adebayor will be desperate to score against his former club once again.
CB – Laurent Koscielny
While Mertescker will be charged with looking after Adebayor, Koscielny will try to intercept the ball with his excellent positioning, and carry the ball out of defence into midfield.
LB – Nacho Monreal
Kieran Gibbs is still crocked, and Thomas Vermaelen came off late on against Bayern. Monreal is not 100%, but Wenger will have no choice but to start him against Spurs.
