The in-form France international’s current deal at the Santiago Bernabeu only runs until June 2015 and as a result, speculation has been rife of late linking the striker with a move away from the Spanish capital next season.

In particular, Premier League outfit Arsenal have been heavily linked with Benzema of late, with the north London club’s head coach Arsene Wenger understood to have been keen to lure the player to the Emirates during the recent January transfer window.

And at that particular time, there were still some doubts as to where exactly the Frenchman’s future may lie next season, especially given the fact that Benzema’s deal with los Blancos runs out in 18 months’ time.

However, if reports back in Spain are to now be believed, then Madrid are all set to extend the 26-year-old’s stay in the capital beyond next year and so ending any hope that the Gunners may have had of signing the player this summer.
