Liverpool have been given the green light to make a move for PSG winger Jeremy Menez according to the Daily Express.

The 26 year old French international is out of contract in the summer and is being tracked by a number of clubs though Brendan Rodgers will hope to be leading the chase if he manages to secure a Champions League berth for his Anfield side.

Menez has failed to live up to his billing at the Parc des Princes and has started just six Ligue 1 fixtures this term and his time in the French capital has on the whole been subdued.

PSG signed Menez from AS Roma back in July 2011 and the attacker has rarely shown glimpses of his obvious potential.
wide-man stating;

“We talked about an extension, but it was not sorted out.

“I have three months remaining on my contract at PSG, we will see what will happen at the end of the season.”

Liverpool could well be looking to supplement their attacking options and could look to offload the likes of Iago Aspas and Fabio Borini to make room for Menez.
