Bayern Munich Attacker Open to Liverpool Switch

Anfield side want Allianz Arena starlet.

Check in to Cardiff City vs Liverpool

Bayern Munich attacker Xherdan Shaqiri has admitted he’d be open to a move to Liverpool according to ESPN.

The 22 year old Swiss international has been something of a bit-part player under Pep Guardiola and may well feel he needs more regular first team football given the likes of Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben barring his push for a starting eleven spot.

Liverpool are one of many sides keen on the former FC Basel man and the youngster has responded to speculation linking him with moves to Anfield as well as the likes of Juventus and Napoli by stating;

“When you hear these names, of course you have to listen to the offer, but there is nothing concrete. I cannot say anything to this. I am feeling good in Munich but as a player you have to listen, if one of these top clubs is interested.

“I hear the interest from Borussia Moenchengladbach for the first time. You have to ask Gladbach. I cannot say anything.”

“Bundesliga is the best league for me, but I also like the Premier League and Serie A. In Serie A many teams have developed well with nice players.”

Shaqiri has started eight Bundesliga fixtures this season but has still managed to net five goals for the Allianz Arena side.

Rodgers may well feel his attack could do with an injection of further wide attacking options and could be ready to sell attackers Fabio Borini and Iago Aspas to make room for such an addition.
