Inter Milan to Offer Arsenal Star £2.35m Per Season to Make San Siro Switch

Arsenal are facing a fight to hold on to right back Bacary Sagna, with Inter Milan reportedly prepared to offer the Frenchman more than the Gunners.

Sagna’s current deal expires at the end of this season and Arsene Wenger is keen to keep the versatile defender in North London.

According to Goal.com, Arsenal have offered Sagna a two-year deal worth £75,000-a-week, plus an option for a third year, but Inter are willing to pay him £2.35m over the same length of time – roughly £90,000-a-week.

Both offers fall some way short of Sagna’s £100,000-a-week demands but the Serie A outfit, who are backed by Indonesian business

The former Auxerre star, who turned 31 last month, could leave the Emirates Stadium on a free at the end of this season and he also has offers from Liverpool, PSG and AS Monaco.

The France international is thought to be settled in London but Inter are desperate to land him, having already signed up Manchester United capatin Nemanja Vidic on a free transfer.
