Bernabeu boss wants to reunite with his former Stamford Bridge charge.

Check in to Chelsea vs Arsenal

Real Madrid are ready to offer Chelsea full-back Ashley Cole a two year contract this summer according to The People.

Former Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti wants to bring in two left-backs, an experienced campaigner and a youngster, and has earmarked a move for 33 year old England Cole, as well as Sevilla’s Albert Moreno.

Ancelotti hopes to lure Cole to the Spanish capital knowing that the former Arsenal man will be out of contract at Stamford Bridge at the end of the current campaign.

Jose Mourinho has hinted that Cole could be offered a new one year deal but given that he has been frozen out of the first team set-up the Chelsea star may feel the time is right for a fresh challenge.

Cole is into his eighth season at Chelsea but has only made 12 Premier League starts this term, with Mourinho opting to use Cesar Azpilicueta as his first choice left-back.

Indeed Cole has started just two Premier League fixtures in 2014 and may well see his starting spot in Roy Hodgson’s national team set-up suffer as a result.
