Chelsea have joined a host of sides tracking in-form Hoffenheim midfielder Roberto Firmino according to the Metro.

The Brazilian playmaker has been in excellent form this term, leading the 22 year old to the fringes of a first national team call-up and now the subject of mass summer transfer window pursuit.

AC Milan, Inter Milan and Liverpool are all keen on the goal-scoring midfielder, who is valued at a very affordable £12m

Firmino has scored 19 goals in 28 appearances in all competitions this term and no player has provided more assists in Bundesliga action, so one can well see what all the fuss is about.

That said, one does wonder quite where he’d fit in at Stamford Bridge given the vast array of creative midfield talent in Jose Mourinho’s squad.

Juan Mata was offloaded as he was unable to force himself into the Blues starting eleven so Firmino may well struggle to do likewise.

Mourinho uses the likes of Eden Hazard, Oscar and Willian to provide the forward impetus and the trio ably link midfield and attack.

Firmino would no doubt jump at the chance of a move to the West London club where he would not only team-up with compatriots Oscar, David Luiz and Ramires but would also secure a massive pay-rise in the process.
