With Real Madrid leading 6-1 from the first leg, Los Blancos boss Carlo Ancelotti handed the youngsters a chance in last night’s Champions League last-16 second leg against Schalke.

It was a great chance for the club’s young stars to impress the Bernabeu crowd but the evening was short-lived for Spanish forward Jese Rodriguez, who was stretched off early on after being bundled over by Sead Kolasinac.
Real have since confirmed on their official website that Jese, 21, suffered a torn ACL in his right knee and would miss the remainder of the season.
