The England international suffered the setback following a crunching tackle from Denmark defender Daniel Agger during a friendly at Wembley Stadium on March 5, with the 22-year-old subsequently being ruled out of action for a six-week period.
However, after Wilshere tweeted a picture of himself still wearing a protective boot on Wednesday, it appears that that initial prognosis may have been slightly optimistic on the part of the north London club.
The Gunners have struggled for form in the absence of the influential Englishman, winning only two of their five matches, although one of those victories was in the north London derby against arch-rivals Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane on Sunday afternoon.
