Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin is keen on a move to Arsenal according to French source RTL.

The 24 year old has been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium and the Frenchman has talked up the possibility of a move to the Emirates Stadium.

Schneiderlin is quoted as stating;

“Arsenal? I have a three year contract, then it will not be easy,” he told RTL.

“It is also my dream to one day play in a great club, so why not?”

Schneiderlin has been an excellent signing for the south-coast side helping the Saints from League One to the Premier League and more than proving himself in the English top tier in the process.

Wenger may well see Schneiderlin as a replacement for veteran Spaniard Mikel Arteta, who has had an average campaign this term.

Schneiderlin may feel that a high profile move to Arsenal would aid his push for a first senior French national team call-up and Mauricio Pochettino may well struggle to keep hold of his top talents after an excellent season for the St Mary’s side.

The likes of Rickie Lambert, Jay Rodriguez, Adam Lallana and teenager Luke Shaw may well all be targeted by top six sides over the summer.
