Didier Drogba received a rousing reception from Chelsea fans on his return to Stamford Bridge with Galatasaray last night but the Ivorian failed to make an impact on the pitch, with the visitors slumping to a 2-0 defeat.

Drogba’s night was best summed up by a first half free kick which was so high and wide, it hit a banner at the front of the Bridge’s second tier which read ‘Drogba Legend’!
