The controversial Uruguay international has been in sensational form in front of goal for the Merseyside giants so far in this campaign, with Suarez currently topping the Premier League scoring charts, and that despite missing the opening two months of the season through suspension.

However, the 27-year-old has still managed to hit the back of the net on 25 occasions in just 24 Premier League outings so far, with the player being rewarded for that eye-catching form in front of goal by being handed a new bumper long-term deal at Anfield worth an astonishing £200,000 per week.

But in spite of all that, it is believed that City director of football Txiki Begiristain has already made contact with the Uruguayan’s agent, Pere Guardiola, in order to discuss the possibility of his client making the move to Eastlands next season.

Suarez is currently contracted to the Merseysiders until June 2018, with Liverpool valuing their star man at £70m.
