Stamford Bridge side ready to cash-in on Brazilian?.

Chelsea look to have found a willing buyer for bit-part player David Luiz with Sport Witness (quoting Le10 Sport) claiming that PSG are ready to offer a large sum for the Brazilian.

The 26 year old fan favourite has started just 13 of Chelsea’s 30 Premier League fixtures and may well be considering his Stamford Bridge future whilst Jose Mourinho may gleefully accept the offer that this source states is on the table.

Ligue 1 big spenders PSG are ready to offer €45m (£37m) for Luiz as Parc des Princes boss Laurent Blanc targets the former Benfica man as an ideal replacement for veteran Alex, who is set to leave the French capital side this summer.

Luiz played a pivotal role in helping Chelsea to Champions League and Europa League titles but doesn’t appear to be a crucial part of Mourinho’s plans.

The returning Blues boss has opted to use Gary Cahill and John Terry as his first choice central defensive pairing and the arrival of Nemanja Matic pretty much made it clear that Luiz wasn’t an option in a defensive midfield role either.

Mourinho has shown his willingness to cash-in on unneeded or unwanted player to help fund moves for fresh additions, as evidenced by the January exits of Juan Mata, Kevin de Bruyne and Michael Essien to Man United, Wolfsburg and AC Milan respectively.
