Man City have reportedly already reached agreement with Liverpool striker Luis Suarez over an apparent move to the Etihad Stadium according to Spanish source Marca.

City’s sporting director Txiki Beriguistain is said to have already been in contact with the 27 year old Uruguayan over a summer switch, one what Liverpool will surely do everything in their power to prevent.

Suarez is having an outstanding season this term and with Brendan Rodgers looking likely to secure a top four finish, and perhaps even a Premier League title, it seems highly unlikely the former Ajax man would be contemplating leaving the Merseyside club.

Luis Suarez only recently signed a new long term Liverpool contract that has made him the highest paid player in the club’s history so a move to Man City doesn’t make a great deal of sense.

This source claims that Alvaro Negredo may well make way for Suarez’s arrival where Manuel Pellegrini would team the Liverpool man alongside Argentine hot-shot Sergio Aguero.

Luis Suarez has scored 25 Premier League goals this season and is also the English top tier’s joint leading assist maker.

Liverpool currently sit in second place in the Premier League table, four points off leaders Chelsea but with a game in hand.
