Tottenham are ready to listen to offers for expensive flop signing Roberto Soldado according to Football Direct News.

The 28 year old moved to White Hart Lane in a £26m deal last summer, which was temporarily the club’s record outlay for a new signing, but has failed to deliver and is now seemingly set for a summer exit.

The former Valencia man has netted just six goals in 24 Premier League appearances, a statistic that is all the more woeful when you consider four of those came from the penalty spot.

A number of La Liga sides are said to be open to a move for the Spanish international as are Bundesliga side Borussia Dormtund, who are keen to replace Bayern Munich bound Robert Lewandowski, though Tottenham will struggle to recoup even half the fee they paid for Soldado.

Tim Sherwood has been indebted to the efforts of Emmanuel Adebayor, with the Togo international scoring eight goals in 14 Premier League starts.

Fellow summer signing Erik Lamela may well follow Soldado to a swift exit at the end of the current campaign.
