Former Barca star continues his boycott of the region’s media.

Ex-Barcelona star Luis Figo continued his ongoing blackout of the Catalan media at Friday’s Champions League draw by snubbing them when approached for a quote.

Upon making his move from Barca to Real Madrid in 2000 he was vilified in one of the most acrimonious transfers in world football, something that he holds the region’s press accountable for.

He was pelted with bottles, coins and even a pig’s head upon his return to the Nou Camp with Real, and 14 years later, the past has not been forgotten.

Figo is acting as ambassador for this year’s final in Lisbon, and he snubbed his former club at the draw on Friday by walking away from the Catalan reporter, before telling him “I don’t speak for Barcelona”.
