Chelsea head coach Jose Mourinho plans to offload giant front man Romelu Lukaku at the end of the campaign in order to fund the west London club’s own double pursuit of both Atletico de Madrid’s Diego Costa and Paris Saint-Germain’s Edinson Cavani, according to exclusive reports in the Sunday Express.

The powerful Belgium international was once again shipped out on a season-long loan spell to Premier League rivals Everton at the start of the campaign, with the striker once again displaying an eye for goal at Goodison Park.

In fact, so far this season the 20-year-old has managed to register an impressive 12 goals and seven assists in just his 26 matches in all competitions for the Merseyside giants, including an equally eye-catching 11 strikes and six assists in only 24 Premier League contests for his new team.

However, the player is expected to return to his parent club when his loan spell runs out at the climax to this campaign, at which point the self-styled Special One will attempt to offload the forward for a fee somewhere in the region of the £17m mark, with the likes of both Borussia Dortmund and AS Roma known to be keen on landing the Belgium.
