In-form striker Loic Remy is desperate to secure a move to the Emirates Stadium according to the Sunday Mirror.

The 27 year old is currently enjoying a season long loan spell at Newcastle United but wants to make a permanent move from QPR to Arsenal with Arsene Wenger said to be a big fan of the French international.

Remy has scored 13 goals for the Magpies this season and a source close to the player is quoted as stating;

“If Arsenal want him that’s where he will go. Where else would a big fan of Thierry Henry want to go?”

QPR are looking to secure £15 from Remy’s sale and Tottenham are also keen on the former Marseille man.

Wenger could well do with strengthening his striking options with Olivier Giroud being overworked due in part to the injury issues suffered by both Lukas Podolski and Theo Walcott this season.

Remy’s form at Newcastle United is likely to lead to a spot in Didier Deschamps’ French national team squad for the 2014 World Cup finals.
