The England international is currently out of action with a hamstring injury that ruled the central defender out of the Red Devils’ trip to take on struggling West Ham United at Upton Park in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

However, that setback did not appear to be affecting the defender too much later on that evening, if subsequent pictures in the press and eyewitness accounts of Smalling’s antics in the Manchester Spinningfields district are anything to go by.

In fact, according to one passer by, the young Englishman was even heard singing: “We’ll do what we want. We’ll do what we want. We’re Man United. We’ll do what we want.”

Meanwhile, an eye witness also said: “He’d obviously had a great night with his mates. They were singing football songs.”
