Anfield side line-up bid for Upton Park centre-back.

Check in to Liverpool vs Sunderland

Having seen his in-form Liverpool side ship far too many goals of late Brendan Rodgers has reportedly set his sights on West Ham centre-back Winston Reid according to the Daily Mail.

The New Zealand international has been in fine form this term and his Hammers side have notably struggled when he has been out with injury.

25 year old Reid struggled to impress when he first arrived at Upton Park but over the past 18 months has matured into a very able performer.

Thus far this term West Ham have secured eight clean sheets in the 14 appearances Reid has made and Sam Allardyce may struggle to keep hold of the talented centre-back.

Though Liverpool have scored more goals than any other side in the Premier League they have not been all that sound at the back.

Liverpool have conceded significantly more than their top four rivals most recently conceded six goals in recent encounters with strugglers Cardiff City, Swansea City and Fulham.
