Swiss hot shot has 15 in 26 in the Bundesliga so far this season.

Both north London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are set to go head to head at the end of the season in the battle to land exciting young Nurnberg front man Josip Drmic, according to reports on talkSPORT.co.uk.

Tottenham are said to be keen to recruit a new striker to replace the recently departed England international Jermain Defoe who left White Hart Lane during the recent January transfer window to join FC Torinto in Major League Soccer.

And with club-record signing Roberto Soldado still struggling at times to hit the back of the net with any great regularity, it is understood that new Spurs head coach Tim Sherwood has asked chairman Daniel Levy to fund the purchase of the Switzerland international when the summer transfer window opens again for business on July 1.

However, Tottenham are now also set to face stiff competition for the 21-year-old’s signature from their arch rivals from across the capital who themselves are in urgent need of a new forward at the Emirates next season in order to help share the workload with France international Olivier Giroud.
