Tottenham Hotspur are confident that they can lure Manchester City midfielder Javi Garcia away from the title contenders at the end of the season, according to Football Direct News.

The Spaniard has found it difficult to break into the City starting XI on a regular basis as he has often been used from the bench with the likes of Fernandinho and Yaya Toure ahead of him.
A source close to White Hart Lane has said that technical director Franco Baldini, who oversees all player recruitment at the north London club, wants to freshen up an under-achieving squad in the summer and is attracted to Garcia’s European pedigree.
City are also likely to undergo another facelift again this summer with some heavy spending of their own, and Balidini is confident that the north London outfit can land the player for under £10m.
However, Garcia reportedly cuts a popular figure in the City dressing room, and his exit is by no means a foregone conclusion.
He helped both Alvaro Negredo and Jesus Navas settle in the area upon their arrivals last summer and has began to feature amore prominently over the past couple of weeks.
