Tottenham to Offload Six In Summer Clear-Out

White Hart Lane side set to trim expansive squad.

Check in to Liverpool vs Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham are readying a clear-out with Tim Sherwood earmarking exits for as many as six of his first team squad according to Football Direct News.

Having spent upwards of £100m on new additions last summer, and moving no nearer to securing that all important top four spot, it appears White Hart Lane chairman Daniel Levy is looking to trim the Spurs squad.

Keepers Heurelho Gomes and Brad Friedel will be joined by Younes Kaboul and summer signing Etienne Capoue on their way to summer exits.

Last weekend’s last minute match-winner Gylfi Sigurdsson is another set to leave as it loaned out German Lewis Holtby.

Perhaps surprisingly this source doesn’t cite attacking flops Erik Lamela and Roberto Soldado among those who could be sold, especially given the £50m+ invested in the pair has seemingly been something of an expensive mistake.

Tottenham currently sit in sixth spot in the table, seven points off local rivals Arsenal who occupy fourth spot.
