Premier League champions Manchester United are preparing to offload out-of-favour wide man Wilfried Zaha at the end of the season, despite the highly rated young player only arriving at Old Trafford last summer, according to reports in the Daily Mail.

The England international was actually signed by previous Red Devils head coach Sir Alex Ferguson from then Championship outfit Crystal Palace in January 2013 in a deal worth £10m, with Zaha then being loaned back to the Eagles in order to aid their ultimately successful promotion push back to the Premier League this campaign.

However, Ferguson’s successor at the Theatre of Dreams David Moyes has so far been reluctant to utilise the 21-year-old in his starting lineup this season, with Zaha eventually being loaned out to struggling Cardiff City in the recent January transfer window, with the player desperate to simply get some game time before this summer’s World Cup.

But now it looks like Zaha’s days as a United player are set to come to an end as soon as the transfer window opens again for business on July 1, with Moyes even said to be prepared to take a £5m loss on the winger in order to remove the player from the club’s books.
