Crystal Palace co-chairman Steve Parish has confirmed his side’s interest in re-signing Man United winger Wilfried Zaha according to the Daily Star.

The 21 year old was sold to the Old Trafford side in a £12m deal but was handed just two Premier League sub appearances before being sent to Cardiff City on loan and is now looking likely to leave Man United having not had the chance to prove himself.

On the subject of the Eagles interest in the England international Parish stated;

“Wilf’s a fantastic player, I certainly think we would be interested,”

“United have not said anything official, he’s their player, but if a player like that did become available then I am sure we would be interested.

“If we are fortunate enough to stay in the division, we will be looking to kick on and establish ourselves and try to get up to mid-table and be a bit more comfortable.

“Wilfried is a player who is worthy of the division and is a player who could help anybody.

“We saw him come on for Cardiff at the weekend and he changed the game, so if a situation arose for that kind of player, of course we would be interested.”

Indeed any interest Palace have in Zaha will only be relevant if they beat the drop and last weekend’s surprise win over Chelsea certainly helps their cause.

Tony Pulis’s side currently sit in 16th place in the table, some five points clear of the relegation zone.

If Man United do indeed intend on selling Zaha they may well have to concede the likelihood that any offer for his services will be lower than the price they paid the Selhurst Park side back in January 2013.
