Liverpool are hopeful they will be able to lure Italian international Antonio Candreva to Anfield this summer after learning that the 27 year old is ready to leave Lazio this summer according to Football Direct News.

The winger is currently jointly owned by the Stadio Olimpico side and Udinese but ongoing negotiations have not gone well which may well lead to Candreva leaving for pastures new and a move to the Premier League may tempt the talented wide-man.

Candreva has scored eight goals and provided five assists for Lazio this term and is one of the most consistent performers in Edoardo Reja’s side and may be seen as Rodgers as an ideal capture as he seeks to strengthen his options in the final third.

It’s unlikely Liverpool will pursue a deal to make their temporary move for Chelsea’s Victor Moses a permanent one and with the likes of Iago Aspas and Fabio Borini perhaps due for summer exits there will be an even greater need to bring in additions at the end of the current campaign.

Prior to his move to Lazio Candreva had spent loan periods at Juventus and Parma and is now a regular in Cesare Prandelli’s national team set-up.
