Liverpool are ready to make an approach to sign PSG winger Jeremy Menez with the French international’s Parc des Princes contract set to expire in a matter of months according to Football Direct News.

The 26 year old wide-man has struggled for form since leaving AS Roma for the French capital and has been a bit-part player under Laurent Blanc this season, making just six Ligue 1 starts, and is unlikely to be offered a new deal and is said to be a target for Arsenal, Juventus and his former Stadio Olimpico employers.

Indeed Menez has more or less admitted he is set for a new club, stating recently;

“I’m at the end of my contract, and we haven’t been able to reach an agreement. So, it’s going to be difficult to stay.”

Rodgers is keen to bring in more options this summer to help boost his attack and with the Merseyside club unlikely to make a more for Chelsea’s Victor Moses, who has been average at best during his loan spell at Liverpool, there is scope for a move for Menez.

There will be fewer higher quality players available on a free transfer at the end of the season and the offer of Champions League football will certainly aid Liverpool’s case.
