Bernabeu side want Anfield duo.

Check in to West Ham United vs Liverpool

Real Madrid are reportedly readying an opening offer for Liverpool pair Luis Suarez & Philippe Coutinho that is sure to be given short shrift by the Anfield side.

Spanish source La Sexta report that the Bernabeu side are to offer a paltry €80m (£66m) for the attacking duo, a fee that arguably wouldn’t be enough to land Suarez on his own.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is unlikely to consider the sale of either player, both of whom have played their part in the club’s rise from also-rans to Premier League title contenders.

With Champions League football all but secured there seems little reason for either player to consider leaving the Merseyside club, even if it is La Liga giants Real Madrid making the offer.

27 year old Uruguayan Suarez has netted 29 goals and provided 12 assists thus far this term, meaning the former Ajax man leads both Premier League charts, and has only recently signed a lucrative new deal that makes him the best paid player in Liverpool’s history.

Brazilian Coutinho has also been in fine form and is on the fringes of a return to the national team set-up

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti may well be looking to conduct some big name signings this summer but may be best advised to look elsewhere.
