Defender wanted by ‘big clubs’ claims agent.
The agent of highly-rated Roma centre-back Mehdi Benatia has confirmed that several ‘big clubs’ are in the running to sign him this summer, according to Goal.com.

The Moroccan international has been in stunning form during his first season at the Stadio Olimpico since joining from Udinese in a £13.5m deal last summer, and his performances have sparked some significant interest from club’s across Europe with Bayern Munich and Manchester United said to be the frontrunners to land his signature.
And Benatia’s agent, Moussa Sissoko (not to be confused with the player of the same name), has confirmed that his client is indeed a target for some of Europe’s biggest clubs despot still having four years to run on his current deal in the Italian capital.
“We will have a meeting with Roma,” the agent told L’Equipe. “The directors are aware of the fact that big clubs are interested.
“After the meeting with Roma we will see what Mehdi’s decision will be. Although today, he feels very, very happy at Roma.”
The 26-year-old Benatia has played an integral role in the Giallorossi’s remarkable resurgence this season under coach Rudi Garcia, netting five times in Serie A.
