Check in to Bayern Munich vs Manchester United

Man United boss David Moyes is planning ahead to a busy summer and has been offered the full backing of the Old Trafford side’s owners who will hand the Scot a massive transfer war-chest.

CaughtOffside understands that regardless of whether Moyes secures a Champions League berth for next term he will be given as much as £150m to invest in his squad though he will also be encouraged to sell players before bringing in new additions in order to adhere to UEFA’s FFP (Financial Fair Play) guidelines.

Moyes will look make back-up striker Javier Hernandez available having seen the faith placed in England youngster Danny Welbeck repaid this season and is also ready to listen to offers for wingers Nani and Ashley Young with neither player seen as part of the former Everton manager’s long term plans.

Despite publicly backing under-fire midfielder Tom Cleverley it is though that Moyes will consider decent offers for the 24 year old and loaned out Brazilian Anderson will also be offloaded on a permanent basis once the club’s £8m valuation is met.

Japanese international Shinji Kagawa has impressed in recent weeks but crucially didn’t start recent Champions League encounters with Olympiakos or Bayern Munich as well as big Premier League clashes with both Liverpool and Man City and has only started three Premier League fixtures in 2014 and could well be set for a return to Borussia Dortmund with Westfalenstadion boss Jurgen Klopp keen to re-sign the playmaker.

Man United are ready to test Bayern Munich’s resolve with a £40m bid for contract rebel Toni Kroos and come the summer the German international will have just a year to run on his current deal and with no sign of either side backing down in relation to wage demands it’s entirely plausible that the Bundesliga side will agree the offer from the Premier League side.

Moyes sees his defence as the key area of his squad in need of improvement, not least as he looks likely to lose the services of Nemanja Vidic, Rio Ferdinand and Patrice Evra in the summer, and as such the Man United manager will make significant offers for a trio of defensive targets.

Indeed with Phil Jones and Chris Smalling arguably being better suited to alternative roles in defensive midfield and right-back roles respectively Moyes is ready to mounts bids for two South Americans who have impressed in Primeira Liga.

Man United will make an offer in the region of £20m for Benfica centre-back Ezequiel Garay, a player the club have scouted on a number of occasions this summer and will offer a similar amount for FC Porto’s French youngster Eliaquim Mangala.

Moyes is also ready to make his interest in Southampton teenager Luke Shaw known and though there has been some speculation of bids as high as £30m for the 18 year old Man United are ready to launch a £15m bid that would also offer the St Mary’s side a percentage of any future sales of the left-back as well as incremental bonuses in relation to appearances and achievements, a deal that may prove tempting for the south-coast side.
