Englishman is one of five Blues stars to be featured by the TV series.

Veteran Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard celebrated the west London club’s dramatic Uefa Champions League quarter-final victory over Paris Saint-Germain at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night by checking out his own new Simpsons character.

The England international is one of five Blues players, along with team-mates Petr Cech, John Terry, Eden Hazard and Fernando Torres, to have a character made after them in the American-hit TV show.

And Lampard went to check his out with partner Christine Bleakley on Wednesday.

“It’s great to see myself and the other players as Simpsons characters,” said Chelsea skipper Terry in March.

“The Simpsons was and still is my favourite show, and is now my kids’ too. I can’t wait to see what Bart and Homer will look like as Chelsea players.”

Meanwhile, Chelsea chief executive Ron Gourlay added: “We are very pleased to announce such an exciting partnership. The Simpsons is a hugely popular show and I hope Chelsea fans will enjoy seeing its main characters in our colours.”
