Cardiff lost the match 3-0, a defeat that left the relegation-threatened side second bottom in the table ahead of Saturday’s match away to Southampton.

Cardiff manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer earlier dismissed suggestions of any involvement by a member of the Welsh club’s squad.

Mehmet Dalman, the Welsh club’s chairman, has been in contact with the Premier League over the incident.

Palace sporting director Iain Moody worked for Cardiff until earlier this season before joining Palace in November.

There had been reports Cardiff were worried he had used his connections with his former club to find out the team that started against Palace.

However, Moody denied those allegations.

“That is incredibly, extraordinarily untrue. That is untrue, completely untrue.”

Cardiff are currently six points adrift of safety, with just five games remaining.

Asked about the allegations, former Manchester United star Solskjaer preferred to focus on the upcoming match against Southampton.

“My week has been on how we can give ourselves the best chance against Southampton,” the Norweigan is quoted as saying by the BBC.

“I think I have seen every one of my players and I don’t doubt anyone’s pride, honesty, loyalty, integrity, professionalism. They have all been fantastic this week.

He added: “I am not talking about Crystal Palace. We’ve got Southampton, and that’s my job to get ready for that game. When you are in a football club, you stick together. That’s the key.”
