The Baggies took the lead through Matej Vydra, who scored after just 30 seconds, and Chris Brunt doubled the Baggies lead with only four minutes on the clock.
Spurs had the chance to get back into the game but Emmanuel Adebayor hit a dreadful penalty straight to Hugo Lloris, and Stephane Sessegnon raced through to extend West Brom’s lead shortly afterwards.
An own goal from Jonas Olsson gave Tottenham hope just before the break before Harry Kane ensured a tense finale. Christian Eriksen ensured the north London outfit completed a remarkable comeback.
