Casemiro has been on the radars of several sides across Europe as he continues to struggle to break into the Madrid side under Carlo Ancelotti, and sources in Italy have suggested that Inter are close to agreeing a loan deal for the Brazilian.

However, the Gunners are said to be hoping to make their own permanent bid of around £10m to bring the player to the Emirates instead.

But Arsenal face a huge problem with the fact that Carlo Ancelotti is reluctant to let him leave the Santiago Bernabeu despite him not featuring much this term.

That means a loan move to Inter may be favoured by the Madrid side, to ensure that the youngster gains some much needed first team experience.

Casemiro joined Real Madrid from Sao Paulo initially on loan in January 2013 before making the move permanent in June for a fee of around €6m (£5m).
