Wenger was unable to secure deals to sign Gonzalo Higuain and Luis Suarez last summer and is keen to bring in a trio of quality signings and his side have already begun negotiations with Real Madrid and Schalke over their continuing interest in Alvaro Morata and Julian Draxler.

Both players have repeatedly been linked with a move for the pair, with Morata hoping to secure the regular first team football he has been unable to retain at the Bernabeu.

The Spanish Under 21 international has started just one La Liga fixture this term though his repeated cameo appearances for the bench has led to six goals.

Arsene Wenger is also ready to take a second shot at landing German international Draxler having failed to secure a deal for the Schalke man in January.

The Arsenal boss is also looking to bring in Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Lars Bender who may well be considered as a potential replacement for Spaniard Mikel Arteta, who has been distinctly average this term.
