Chelsea have reportedly joined Manchester united in the race to sign young Roma defender Dodo this summer, according to Football Direct News.

The Brazilian prospect has been in incredible form this season and has been watched by the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, both of whom are fishing the transfer market in search of a new left-back this summer.
Chelsea have searched extensively for a number of options and have been linked with the likes of Caner Erkin and Camilo Zuniga in recent times as some doubts persist over the future of veteran defender Ashley Cole, who has been out of favour under Jose Mourinho this season.
Young Spaniard Cesar Azpilicueta has been holding down the fort on the left side in Cole’s absence this season, and though he has performed well enough to keep the veteran England man out of the side Mourinho is still keen to bring in a player who specialises in that position to take over.
Dodo is now said to be one of Chelsea’s top transfer targets this summer now, though they will face a battle to bring him on board as Roma aren’t though to be keen on letting him go.
