Such a move would be something of a surprise given the pivotal role the 22 year old has played at Stamford Bridge since completing his £19m move to Stamford Bridge back in the summer of 2012.

The talented playmaker has already amassed 109 appearances for the Blues, racking up 23 goals and 15 assists in the process, and with Juan Mata having been sold to Man United one would have imagined Oscar wouldn’t be a player Mourinho would look to offload.

Modric was initially adjudged to be something of a flop at Real Madrid but has turned out to be a hugely impressive capture, winning over the Bernabeu faithful and becoming a virtual ever present under Carlo Ancelotti.

Jose Mourinho was the man who brought Modric to the Spanish capital but the Croatian international seems settled at the La Liga side so one wonders if he would be interested in a return to the Premier League.

Surprisingly this source claims that Mourinho would be willing to offer Oscar as well as a cash sum in return for Modric, who is six years his senior.
