The Mexican international has been a long time target for Reds boss Brendan Rodgers and he is said to be keen to snap him up over the summer when his contract with the Ligue 1 side expires.

Serie A giants AC Milan had also registered their interest, but the 28-year-old has hinted that England could be an interesting option as he looks to open the next chapter of his career.

“I am evaluating several offers from different countries. I have been in France for three years and I like the way in which this league has evolved, but I would also want to try elsewhere,” Ochoa said.

“At the moment I have no agreements with any team and I am willing to listen to all the proposals to make the best decision possible.

“My agent is dealing with everything and I do not exclude a future in Italy or England.”

Rodgers is keen to bolster his squad ahead of another title challenge and a return to the Champions League next season and views Ochoa as the man to replace Pepe Reina and put pressure on Simon Mignolet for the number one spot.
