Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is apparently keen on signing Bayer Leverkusen youngsrer Son Heung-Min, who he may well feel could act as a third prong in his Anfield attack.

The Daily Mail claim the Northern Irishman is scouting the 21 year old South Korean, who has been a big success in the German top tier.

Son Heung-min moved to Hamburg in 2008 and after three solid campaigns at the Imtech Arena side then left for Bayer Leverkusen last summer in a deal said to be worth around £8m.

The adaptable attacker, who can play either out wide or in a central slot, has scored 11 goals and provided six assists for Bayer Leverkusen and may well be tempted by a move to the Premier League table toppers.

Rodgers has been linked with a host of wide attackers as he seemingly seeks to bring in a player who play alongside Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge, with loaned in Chelsea man Victor Moses failing to sufficiently impress this season.

Liverpool will no doubt have their eyes on several potential additions as they seek to strengthen their squad ahead of a return to the Champions League and Rodgers may well look to offload Iago Aspas and Fabio Borini to make way for new signings.
