Ligue 1 big spenders chase Etihad Stadium star.
PSG are reportedly looking to lure Man City midfielder Yaya Toure to the Parc des Princes as efforts to land Paul Pogba continue to falter according to Le10Sport.
The 30 year old is having an excellent season at the Etihad Stadium and there seems little reason he would consider leaving the club, not least as he is one of the highest paid players in Europe, though a move to the French capital could perhaps tempt Toure.
Man City have no financial reason to consider offers for Toure, who is arguably Manuel Pellegrini’s key performer, though Laurent Blanc’s side may well be able to match his current salary and offer the former Barcelona man a fresh challenge.
Toure moved to Man City in July 2010 and has helped the club to a Premier League title and both FA Cup and League Cup crowns, thus far this season the combative midfielder has racked up an impressive 22 goals in all competitions.
PSG look likely to secure their second successive Ligue 1 title triumph and are slowly but surely making more of an impact in the Champions League picture.
